The Freaky Skittles Sorting Machine
Here’s Brian Egenriether’s new-and-improved Skittles sorting machine. It’s interesting to note that he used machinable epoxy for the parts instead of using a 3D printer. I know 3D printing is the future, but the current crop of home 3D printers make ugly parts. Subtractive fabrication technology makes better looking stuff, at least for now. This machine sorts Skittles, m&m’s and similar candies by color. It is the 3rd revision of the original machine. The inside is now complete and features user-selectable inputs to choose which type of candy to sort. Types not shown include Reese’s Pieces and other types of Skittles. The microcontroller is a BASIC Stamp 2 and the color sensor is made by TAOS. I made most of the parts by hand from a machinable epoxy including the outer case, inner housing, hopper mechanism, 5 way chute, and the the rotating disk inside. The other parts include a piece of PVC, ceramic bowls, telescope parts, wood for the base, and the funnel which was cut from a hummingbird feeder. From: TheRealFunnyPlace Views: 2  1 ratings

The funniest thing i have done to another officer, i did to my Lt. We are constantly pranking back and forth. His patrol car was parked in the lower lot, parallel to the major 4 lane running through town. I took a bright orange windshield marker, and in about 6 inch high letters, wrote “I Support Gay Marriage” across his back windshield of his patrol car. Couple days later, they put a anatomicaly correct blow up doll in the drivers eat of my patrol car. We got a hot call, and i ran out, threw the doll in my trunk (still inflated) and answered the call. After that, Highway Patrol and EMS requested our help on shutting down the road for helicopter to land to fly out patients from a wreck. It was dark by now, and i popped my trunk to get my trafic vest. Just then a couple cars came flying over the hill, and i had to move pretty quick to stop them. My trunk was open, and there was the doll, sitting up, arms extended to the side, mouth open, and quite a few cars with their headlights shining on it from a distance of about 20 feet. Since then, i’ve had copperhead snakes in and on my car. I’ve put numbing gel on spit cups, and plenty of teryaki sauce in tea, and salt in water. The standard though, is to go to a restaurant and have them sing happy b-day to the unexpected officer, who ends up wearing sumbreros, or having balloons tied to his chair. Amazing How To Make A Super Fantastic Halloween Pumkin
Amazing Fantastic ..Ever looked at the carved pumpkins at Halloween and wondered how you can create your own that way? Well now you can! 1)Buy a pumpkin from your local supermarket or from a farm shop. Buy one that’s a good size with little visible damage/marks. 2)Draw a circle around the stem on the top where you want the lid to go. Make it big enough to fit your arm and a scraping tool through (a diameter of about 6 inches is recommended). 3)Cut out the lid. Make sure you do so at an angle (tip of the knife facing the center of the pumpkin) so that the lid doesn’t fall into the pumpkin. You may want to cut a small notch into the lid too so it doesn’t fall. 4)Use a spoon to clean out the inside of the pumpkin. Scrape away the walls until they’re about an inch thick. There should be no seeds or pumpkin strings left. 5)Wipe down inside with some kitchen roll. Leave to dry overnight if desired. 6)Select or draw a pattern Make sure it suits your ability. Thinner bits will be harder to cut out. Pick one that suits the size of the pumpkin. 7)Put the pattern onto the pumpkin. Premade patterns: Print it out to the right size. Cut along the edges inwards so it folds round across the curve of the pumpkin. Tape it down using masking tape. Your own pattern: Use a washable marker to draw the pattern directly onto the pumpkin. 8)Carve the pumpkin Start by getting a pin or thin poking device like a screw driver. Make small dots in the pumpkin all around the edges of the shape you’re going to cut out. Keep them close together. If you used a premade pattern, carefully remove the paper. Get a pumpkin carving knife (or most normal knives will work) and poke it all the way through the edge of one of the shapes. Alternatively, you can make your pumpkin glow by using a chisel knife (you can buy them from most art stores) or similar tool to glide along the pumpkin, following the edge of the design. Remove the only top layer of skin (do not poke all the way through). Slowly move the knife round the shape following the dots. Once you’ve gone all the way round, push the shape out and carefully run your knife around the edge again to neaten the cut up. Repeat for each shape. 9 Decorate further if desired. All the different James Bonds fight against .. who is the best 007 ? We’ve all argued it vehemently while playing License to Kill, Slappers Only mode: which Bond wins in a Battle Royal? It’s a complicated issue. Certainly, we have our favorite and least favorite Bonds (cough, Moore, cough), but beyond cheesy storylines and awful Tarzan vine-swinging moments, pure and utter deadliness is tough to rank. While we’re not sure this James Bond Movie Deathmatch mashup by Brad Hanson actually answers that question, it does pit all six 007s against one another through the magic of the editing room.
